Message from Carol Webb, Editor
I will be away from early Feb to mid-March, so will need to bring the Magazine deadline a lot nearer than usual. The deadline is no later than Tuesday, 3 Feb.
I appreciate that, with very little club activity since the South Lytchett Manor rally, (a report has already been received), eager to help, you'll possibly ask yourselves, “What can I send in?”
So here are some ideas:
Write a short article about how you used your motorhome since the club's last rally, or indeed your last rally. Did it become an annex to friends / family over the Christmas period or has a squatter taken it over?
Have you travelled abroad and would like to share your experience with other members, tempting them to do something similar in the future. Write about the route you took and include costs etc.
Of course, all this said, if you haven't used your motorhome then you could always write about something else.
Examples:
Where you store it, did mice or rats do some damage? Or you want to highlight the excellent facilities at the storage area.
Do you keep it on the drive, how do the neighbours feel about this? Does it cause any awkward conversations or fall outs or interesting conversations about how lucky you are to own a motorhome?
Are you going to be a first time Steward? If you are, write about what made you take the leap. How do you feel about running a rally, this type of thing.
If nobody helps with this, the spring edition will be very underweight when it pops onto your door mat, just saying…
Anyway, the bottom line is, I will need to populate the magazine between now and the 3 Feb. I could fill it with random, not particularly relevant articles to our club.
Or you could help with this and write something that we can all find interesting and or, useful.
Anyway, I think you may have caught my drift here. Any help will be greatly appreciated, not just by me, but by all of us in the club.
So, you don’t feel overwhelmed or overloaded with this, a half a page article is approx. 250 words.
And finally, I am still looking for a successor as Editor.
Happy New Year
Carol
