It is with very deep sadness that we have to report the loss of Don in the early hours of December 31st.

Don and Marie have been long standing members of the club and attended 185 rallies since joining in 2006.

2017 saw them achieve the Top Rallier award by attending 22 rallies in that year.

Most of you will have spent many happy hours with Don and his fabulous disco which he put on at many many rallies over the years.

Don also appeared on BBC's The One Show as Britains oldest working DJ. A fitting story about this lovely man.

He was a great personality telling many tales of his time in the navy where he served on Ark Royal and loved a good laugh with his friends.

Our thoughts go out to Marie and their family

I hope the images below reflect on how people knew Don

I could not leave out his personalised club flag. Feathers Rule!

Don will be cremated at 2pm on Wednesday 23rd January 2019 at
Weston Mill Crematorium, Ferndale Road, Weston Mill , Plymouth, PL2 2EP .
Everyone will be welcome afterwards to join Marie and her family  at
Agaton Social Club, Agaton Fort Road, PL5 2QZ .

Tributes to Don from club members.

Today  I have learned of the very sad passing of Don Barker. Don has been a mainstay member of the ATOC for a long, long time and the club was in his heart. He has kept hundreds of us entertained with his DJ evenings and a lot of us entertained with his stories of when he was stationed on the Ark Royal. I hope that wherever he is now he is driving his motor home, watch out for the back end as you go out of the gate Don and that they don’t play “Alice”. He hated it but used to play it on request. Our condolences go out to Marie and all of his family. He will be sadly missed

Members had a very successful coffee afternoon at the Llangollen rally sat in the late September sunshine. Everyone gave very generously cakes and money and we raised £300 which is a fabulous result. Thankyou to you all. Janice Patterson

The Indian Head donated by Barbara Matthews raised a total of £113 for Claire House, the hospice for terminally ill children. Sally and John sold £78 worth of raffle tickets at the Western Motorhome Show rally and the winner, like many of those who bought tickets,  did not want to take the head home. There were plenty there who had hoped to win it, so it was put up for auction.  Bidding started at £5 and the highest bid was from Ken Handley who bid £32, then generously made it up to £35 when he took collection. It was all very exciting and great fun.

Ralliers attending the Brixham Rally in May raised £152 for a locally based Brixham Charity, Humanity Torquay. This needy charity provides aid to the less fortunate and vulnerable people in the Torbay area. The money was raised during a Tramps supper evening with the proceeds of the tombola going to the charity

Members attending the 25th Anniversary Rally and factory visit raised a magnificent £1672 for Charity

Charity Donations

Our club along with the Auto-Trail Factory employees raise money at the annual factory rally. We both choose in alternate years which charities we wish to donate monies to.

The club is not in a postion to support or donate to members individual charities.  We are happy to advertise any event a member may be attempting to raise monies for their chosen charity.

To advertise your charity event, just email all the details to and your appeal for donations/sponsorship will be posted on this website.

Good luck to everyone raising money for needy causes!
