Club Welfare, Charity News and Members Letters

If you are aware of any member who has been poorly or undergone an operation can you please inform myself.

I would like to thank everyone who attended the Wroxham rally for there help, kindness & concern when I fractured my left foot at the rally.

I would especially like to thank Val & Ken for taking me to the hospital twice & making sure I could attend all the evening events during the rally. The Boogie on the Broads was a fab evening. Nobody complained about how much I weighed & there were no more broken bones “Man” handling me on & off the boat!!! Hopefully I will be on 2 feet for next years Boogie night.

Thanks Again

Julie Dale.

Hi Joyce,

Thank you for the lovely card & vouchers I received from my ATOC friends after fracturing my foot at the Wroxham rally. Unfortunately I have had to cancel the rallies I had booked for the rest of the year. I hope my foot will have recover in time for me to travel to Spain for the winter so looking forward to seeing my ATOC friends old & new in 2019.

Julie Dale

Hi Joyce

Thank you so much for my beautiful flowers and your kind wishes.

Yes I have been quite poorly and it has been a long year of operations and treatment, but I am happy to say it seems I am winning the battle and that both myself and Lee are looking forward to the Spanish Rally next year. We had such a wonderful experience last time we went with Ray and Carole the rally marshals.

Once again thank you and all the members of the Auto Trail Owners Club.

Marlene xx

Thank-you for the lovely flowers, which cheered me up and helped to know people are thinking of me.
We haven't been out much with Auto Trail, unfortunately, because of my illness, but loved being with you.
I hope John will come out with you lovely people when he is left on his own and I'm sure members will support him.
                                 Love to all
                                     Mary Loy

We are sorry to report the passing yesterday, (6th August), after a long illness of a previous member Richard Hughes. Our condolences go to Richards family.

I would like to pass on my thanks to all friends in the Autotrail Club for the messages, cards and donations I received following the loss of Ted in June. They were a great comfort to me. Any donations were sent to Mesothelioma UK, a charity that supports people with asbestos related cancer.

We both really enjoyed our eight years in the club, meeting and making friends at rallies. We just wished we'd done it sooner. Planning our itinerary and rallying kept Ted going over the last couple of years and even near the end he was hoping to fit in a few rallies later in the season. I will be so sad to sell the motorhome, it holds very many happy memories for me. Still I can spend more time gardening now, but I will look on the website from time to time to see what you are all doing.

Thanks and best wishes

Lyn Williams

Hello everyone, well we did it !!! we battled through the quick sand and the channels of water up to the thighs we did 8.5 miles in 3.5 hrs cos the group was very big maybe 500 strong 200 from MND and then made up of other charities and some individual walkers for the hell of it. See some of our photos (below). We had the added bonus of good weather also,
I would like to thank everyone who donated to MND we raised an incredible £1131 so far cos the just giving page is still active.
Many thanks to all for taking the time to donate we can only say a big THANKS

At the Evesham rally Julie & Colin Goodfield ran a special raffle for Birmingham Childrens Hospital which raised £53.

Pat O'Keefe was the luck winner of a Weatherspoons voucher.

Our grateful thanks go to all those who took part.

Ralliers attending the Stratford on Avon rally raised a maginficent £81 for the Cardiac Ward at Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

John Owen donated a jar of marbles and members had tto guess the number of marbles in the jar.

Sarah's, (the winner), guess was 1 away from the correct number.

Sarah declined the offer of the jar of marbles and happily accepted a bottle of wine instead. Well done and thanks to everyone who took part.

Ralliers attending the Brixham Rally in May raised £152 for a locally based Brixham Charity, Humanity Torquay. This needy charity provides aid to the less fortunate and vulnerable people in the Torbay area. The money was raised during a Tramps supper evening with the proceeds of the tombola going to the charity

Members attending the 25th Anniversary Rally and factory visit raised a magnificent £1672 for Charity

Charity Donations

Our club along with the Auto-Trail Factory employees raise money at the annual factory rally. We both choose in alternate years which charities we wish to donate monies to.

The club is not in a postion to support or donate to members individual charities.  We are happy to advertise any event a member may be attempting to raise monies for their chosen charity.

To advertise your charity event, just email all the details to and your appeal for donations/sponsorship will be posted on this website.

Good luck to everyone raising money for needy causes!

We are looking to recruit a club member to the team of Directors in a PR role.
