IMPORTANT UPDATE
Salisbury Rally
Tuesday 23rd July to Monday 29th July
Regretfully, we have had to cancel the Salisbury Rally at the request of the site due to extensive building works that will be taking place there at the that time.
We have arranged to extend the Milford on Sea Rally, at least until the Wednesday. We are hoping to be able to stay until Thursday but are awaiting a response from the site owners on that, as there is another rally group arriving on the Thursday, so we would need to be off early if we can stay Wednesday night.
This notice will be updated again when we know for sure. SEE BELOW
We have been in contact with Bill & Carol Webb, regarding availability on their Steam Fair Rally, which starts on the Thursday. They have sufficient space to accommodate all ralliers booked for Salisbury.
Our suggestion is to consider booking that rally instead, especially if you are going to the New Forest Farm rally as well, as it will give you an uninterrupted run, with just the Wednesday night currently under negotiation. We will update this notice when we have a definite answer.
ESSENTIAL
If you decide to book the Steam Fair, please take particular note of the booking instructions in the Rally Book, so that you use the ATOC booking link from our Club Website www.atocuk.com
All cheques received as deposits for Salisbury will be destroyed unless you specifically request that yours be returned.
We will be at the Steam Fair and hope to see you all there.
John & Sally
Update
Sorry, but the Rally will finish on Wednesday, noon. We are unable to extend to Thursday due to insurance complications.
If you are going to the Steam Fair Rally and need somewhere to stay on Wednesday night, there are several sites in The New Forest, operated by The Camping & Caravan Club, along with plenty of independent sites.

Contact John & Sally if you are going to the Steam Fair Rally and you need help.

Can you host a rally in 2020?

Of course you can!

It's easy and very rewarding.

As you may have read in your summer magazine the 2020 rally programme is looking pretty thin with the loss of a number of stewards and very few new volunteers coming forward.

We hold a database of over 400 sites where the club has rallied in the past. We have had some great rallies in good locations with many rallies running on to another rally within a reasonable distance.

Cornwall is an excellent example, runs of 3/4/5 rallies have been held in the past with Tavistock, Newquay, Falmouth, St Ives, Bude to name a few.

Other areas where we have enjoyed rallies are Bridgnorth, Oswestry, Worcester, Coventry, Stratford.

Wales is another area where we have had great rallies, Chepstow, Sully, Monmouth, and Dan Y Ogof (Show caves)

If you are tempted even to consider hosting a rally for club members please contact me anytime for a chat and I will try and answer any questions or concerns you have about hosting rallies.

I am sure you have attended club rallies in the past and witnessed what a great time we have.

I look forward to receiving your call soon!

A huge thank you to all the stewards and volunteers who hosted rallies or assisted at rallies during 2018. Without your contributions and hard work we would not have such a great club.

Also a huge thank you to all the stewards who are hosting rallies in 2019 and their assistants. We are fortunate to have some new stewards coming forward to host their first rally for club members enjoyment,

Finally, thank you to those stewards who stepped in at the last minute to take on rallies where the original stewards had withdrawn their services following the AGM.

I must also give special thanks Sally Boswell and John Cleave for their many hours work preparing the 2019 Rally Book and artwork.

Have you thought about stewarding a rally?

You could help spread the load of running rallies. The club has access to hundreds of rally sites in both new and previously used locations with some old favourites. All a steward needs to do is once you have found a site negotiate a rate, take the bookings, collect the money and site the ralliers as they arrive.

Win an award for hosting 25 rallies (shown top left)

Anything else is up to you!

The Rally Coordinator may be able to put you in touch with an experienced Rally Steward, who would act as a mentor and have you on one or more rallies as an assistant steward for you to find out, first hand, what is involved.

If you interested in becoming a steward or assistant steward please contact Dennis Paul, our Rally Coordinator, he will be very pleased to hear from you!
