UPDATED 24th March

RALLY COORDINATORS' STATEMENT

The Board of Directors conducted a meeting yesterday by electronic means for the first time. All current Board Members were "present" at the meeting.

It was agreed to suspend all ATOC rallies until early July,
with the following possible exclusions.

1 The Southern Motorhome Show (Newbury), run by Warners. It is likely that Warners will cancel or reschedule this show anyway. However, if the show takes place, and she feels that it is safe to do so, Julie Freeland, the ATOC Rally Steward, is currently prepared to steward the ATOC area at the show.

2 The Scottish Motorhome Show (Edinburgh), run by Warners. It is possible that Warners will cancel or reschedule this show, dependent on the national situation at that time. As the show is some time away, the situation is likely to have changed by then, but in which direction is unknown.  However, if the show takes place, and they feel it is safe to do so, Mac & Sarah Mackenzie, the ATOC Rally Stewards, are currently prepared to steward the ATOC area at the show.

All other rallies are cancelled, either by the stewards or the venue, up to and including the Yeovilton Air Show (9th - 12th July).  Beyond our blanket cancellations, the Netley Marsh Steam & Craft Show (23rd - 27th July) has also been cancelled by the organisers.
Currently, Weymouth (9th - 16th July) is unaffected but will be kept under review.

France Vendee Rally. This rally has been cancelled. It is proposed that Pat & Roger will run the rally at a similar time in 2021. Those booked on the 2020 rally will be given priority if wishing to book the 2021 rally. Full refunds from Alan Rogers will be given to all those booked on this year's rally.

Deposits / payments made to Stewards for ATOC rallies will be refundable. If you paid by cheque, the cheque is unlikely to have been cashed (Spanish Rally and Factory Rally Bookings have been or will be dealt with). If you require your cheque to be returned, you will need to send SAE to the rally steward, otherwise, the cheque will be destroyed within 14 days from today.

We will be keeping up with the situation as it develops and will be adhering to Government Guidelines. We will post further information towards the end of April, or sooner if the situation changes significantly.

Keep Safe!

John & Sally

Can you host a rally?

Of course you can!

It's easy and very rewarding.

We hold a database of over 400 sites where the club has rallied in the past. We have had some great rallies in good locations with many rallies running on to another rally within a reasonable distance.

Cornwall is an excellent example, runs of 3/4/5 rallies have been held in the past with Tavistock, Newquay, Falmouth, St Ives, Bude to name a few.

Other areas where we have enjoyed rallies are Bridgnorth, Oswestry, Worcester, Coventry, Stratford.

Wales is another area where we have had great rallies, Chepstow, Sully, Monmouth, and Dan Y Ogof (Show caves)

If you are tempted even to consider hosting a rally for club members please contact me anytime for a chat and I will try and answer any questions or concerns you have about hosting rallies.

I am sure you have attended club rallies in the past and witnessed what a great time we have.

I look forward to receiving your call soon!
