As you may have read in your summer magazine the 2020 rally programme is looking pretty thin with the loss of a number of stewards and very few new volunteers coming forward.
We hold a database of over 400 sites where the club has rallied in the past. We have had some great rallies in good locations with many rallies running on to another rally within a reasonable distance.
Cornwall is an excellent example, runs of 3/4/5 rallies have been held in the past with Tavistock, Newquay, Falmouth, St Ives, Bude to name a few.
Other areas where we have enjoyed rallies are Bridgnorth, Oswestry, Worcester, Coventry, Stratford.
Wales is another area where we have had great rallies, Chepstow, Sully, Monmouth, and Dan Y Ogof (Show caves)
If you are tempted even to consider hosting a rally for club members please contact me anytime for a chat and I will try and answer any questions or concerns you have about hosting rallies.
I am sure you have attended club rallies in the past and witnessed what a great time we have.
I look forward to receiving your call soon!

The downloads below are guides to hosting your first rally. Whatever you decide to do on your rally is your choice, The club can supply signs, banner, flags and boilers (gas and electric + tea pots if you wish to hold a coffee morning. There are always plenty of members prepared to help out if required.
A huge thank you to all the stewards and volunteers who hosted rallies or assisted at rallies during 2018. Without your contributions and hard work we would not have such a great club.
Also a huge thank you to all the stewards who are hosting rallies in 2019 and their assistants. We are fortunate to have some new stewards coming forward to host their first rally for club members enjoyment,
Finally, thank you to those stewards who stepped in at the last minute to take on rallies where the original stewards had withdrawn their services following the AGM.
I must also give special thanks Sally Boswell and John Cleave for their many hours work preparing the 2019 Rally Book and artwork.

Have you thought about stewarding a rally?
You could help spread the load of running rallies. The club has access to hundreds of rally sites in both new and previously used locations with some old favourites. All a steward needs to do is once you have found a site negotiate a rate, take the bookings, collect the money and site the ralliers as they arrive.
Win an award for hosting 25 rallies (shown top left)
Anything else is up to you!
The Rally Coordinator may be able to put you in touch with an experienced Rally Steward, who would act as a mentor and have you on one or more rallies as an assistant steward for you to find out, first hand, what is involved.
If you interested in becoming a steward or assistant steward please contact Dennis Paul, our Rally Coordinator, he will be very pleased to hear from you!
