Yeovilton International Air Day 2018
LOOKING FOR INTEREST
We have the opportunity to arrange a rally at the Yeovilton International Air Day from Thursday 5th July until Sunday 8th July 2018.
The air show day is on Saturday 7th July 2018 and the rally will held on the air base.
This is a great opportunity to see Royal Navy aircraft past and present from around the word as well as other UK and foreign military aircraft. You will see formation display teams as well as helicopters being put through their paces. You will be able to inspect a static display of aircraft on the ground and chat to the crews as well as having the opportunity to take a helicopter ride. You can visit the RNAS Service Display Hanger and hear stories about the fascinating roles of Station personnel supporting our front line Squadrons. Of course there are stalls and stands to explore should you have a spare five minutes. You will also witness aircraft arriving from all over the world on the Thursday and Friday and be able to see them practice their routines for the big day.
Also on site is Fleet Air Arm Museum where you will enjoy a 50% discount on the entrance fee.
All of this just a walk across the road from where you would be camping.
For the camping there is water, showers, toilets, waste disposal and a restaurant that is open all day. No EHU. There is a bus stop outside the ground should you wish to go further afield. Also Haynes Motor Museum is about four miles away if you wanted to visit another iconic place on the Thursday.
I have been in contact with the organiser of the air show and the following prices have been agreed:
For the 3 nights it will be £60 for 2 people with an additional cost of £6 per head for any other people who may wish to stay in your motor home with you.
Understandably it is expected that all parties staying in your motor home buy air show tickets.
I have arranged a discount on the air show tickets of £8 per person (usual price £28 per ticket) we will get them for £20 per ticket
Total cost of the rally for 2 people will be £100.
A lot of money? But just look at what you are getting for it.
In order to book and take advantage of the discount we need to know numbers by the 14th October 2017.
To book please contact Tony Burgess on 07595 280182 or email email@example.com
