Information            Horam Manor Park is situated in an area of outstanding beauty, south of Heathfield in rural East Sussex. This is an ideal location for exploring East Sussex and Kent and the South Downs National Park. Within travelling distance to Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne, the village of Horam is a few hundred metres away from the site. The site has full facilities, fishing lakes and a fully licensed café and a small farm museum. There are nature trails through the woodland on the estate. Within a short walk is Horam Golf Club with a challenging nine-hole course. There are bus stops within 100 metres of the site entrance.

Rally Name            ENFIELD (Limited to 20 vans)

Location                 Whitewebbs museum of Transport, Whitewebbs road, Enfield EN2 9HW

Start                       Thursday 5th October, noon

Finish                     Monday 9th October, noon

Information             The museum is a working transport museum, run as a charity, by volunteers, in a rural setting. We will be parked on hard standing within the grounds of the museum. We have use of a room in the museum and a tour will be arranged for those interested. Toilets, Elsan point and water are available. There are garden centres within easy walking distance and trains into London about half a mile away. Buses to local towns do run nearby but are infrequent. Two pubs within walking distance.

Cost                       £11 pupn plus £2 pupn for EHU (5 amp max) and £2 rally fee.

Directions               From M25 J25 South towards London on A10 keeping right. After 100 metres at the traffic light turn right into Bulls Moor Lane. After 200 metres over speed bumps turn right at mini roundabout into Whitewebbs Lane. Museum is approx. 1 mile on left, 100 metres before junction at end of road.

 

 

Rally Name            HEREFORD

Location                 Lucksall Caravan and Camping Park, Mordiford, Hereford HR1 4LP

Start                       Saturday 7th October, noon

Finish                     Thursday 12th October, noon

Information             Lucksall Caravan and Camping Park is a family run park, graded as a 5-star riverside park, with approx. 21 acres of immaculately kept level grassland, bordered on one side by the River Wye and the other by an 86 acre woodland. Three heated shower and toilet blocks, plenty of fresh water taps, on-site café, well stocked shop, laundry and dishwashing area. This site is close to shops, bus stop and nice local pubs. Places to visit: the market town of Ledbury, as well as historic town of Hereford. If enough people are interested we will organise a visit to Stowford Press Cider Mill (at additional cost).

Directions              Site is situated on the B4224 Hereford Rd between the villages of Mordiford and Fownhope.
From the end of the M50 (Ross) take A449 towards Ledbury, turn onto B4224 sp Hereford, then travel approx. 7 miles. Site is on left.
From Hereford take A438 towards Ledbury, turn onto the B4224 sp Mordiford then travel 7 miles. Site is on right.
From Ledbury take the A438 towards Hereford. Approx. 5 miles east of Hereford turn left, sp Dormington/Mordiford then travel approx. 3 miles and turn left at T junction 

 

AGM RALLY

Rally Name           13th ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (CHELTENHAM)

Location                Cheltenham Racecourse, Prestbury Park, Cheltenham, Gloucester, GL50 4SH

Start    NEW          Thursday 12th October, 9 am   THURSDAY 9th NOVEMBER, 9am

Finish DATES        Monday 16th October, 11 am   MONDAY 13th NOVEMBER, 11am 

Information           Cheltenham Racecourse is situated by the Park & Ride where buses can take you to the vibrant town with excellent shops, bars and restaurants and good transport links around the Cotswolds. We have the use of a room in the evenings (own drinks) and entertainment will be provided on Friday and Saturday evenings. The AGM will be held on Sunday morning. If you wish to attend the AGM meeting but not the rally please send a rally slip to the steward clearly marked DAY VISITOR. This will ensure there are sufficient seats for members attending the AGM. Remember to bring cups for coffee morning.
THE DORAL PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION
The photographic competition will take place during this Rally. See ‘Competitions & Awards.’  You can enter this competition even if you do not attend the AGM rally by sending your entries to the rally stewards by no later than 1st October, or you may hand in your entry before 5 pm Saturday. Please enclose suitable SAE if you are not attending the rally and would like your entry returned.
The site is on a slope (hardstanding) so big levelling blocks and long lead for EHU advised.

Directions              From North leave M5 J9 onto A46 SP Evesham. In 2 miles at Queens Head pub turn R towards Bishops Cleeve. After 1.5 miles at T junction turn R onto A435 SP Cheltenham. After 5 miles turn at rbt 1st L into racecourse. Follow ATOC signs.
From South, leave M5 J11 onto A40 SP Cheltenham. In 1.5 mile at rbt turn left into Princess Elizabeth Way (A4103) SP Swindon Village. After 1.5 miles at rbt (A4019) follow sign for P&R, after half mile turn R (look for small white racecourse sign) over level crossing. In 1 mile at rbt take 2nd exit into racecourse, follow ATOC signs.

Rally Name            SOUTH LYTCHETT MANOR (POOLE)

Information             All pitches are hard standing. Outright winner of the AA Campsite of the Year 2016 Award, this is a full facility site with high standard toilets and showers, well stocked shop and off license, free WiFi throughout the park, games room with pool table and TV, information room, book swap library, indoor washing up area and laundry room.
Cycle hire is available from reception and there is a bus stop at the site entrance from which you can travel to Poole in one direction and Wareham, Corfe Castle and Swanage in the other.
A five-minute walk along a good footpath will take you to a small Craft Courtyard, where there are a few craft shops and Dylan’s Café, serving breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, and where we can meet. Attached to Dylan’s is the Medieval Barn, a function room with a small bar where we will be able to gather, with a meal and skittles on Tuesday night, and a Cream Tea and Raffle on Thursday afternoon. Half a mile away in the village, there is a pub where we can gather for a meal (Wednesday evening), which will include a free bottle of wine with two main courses www.stpetersfinger.co.uk.

Rally Name           NEW FOREST EAST

Location               New Forest East Scout Ground, Gang Warily, Hants SO45 1GA

Start                     Friday 20th October, 2 pm

Finish                   Thursday 26th October, 11 am

Information          Scout Hall available each evening. Friday meet and greet welcome                                       evening. Saturday entertainment (live rock band) plus two course meal                                 provided (main and dessert). Sunday cheese & wine. Monday jacket                                      potatoes with choice of fillings. Tuesday Fish & Chips / Scampi & Chips                               Chicken & Chips at own cost (put choice on back of rally slip please) plus                             Chinese Raffle (bring 1 item per person, wrapped, to a guide cost of £5                               per item). Wednesday nibbles and farewell drink. Full programme of                                     events on arrival. No Hardstanding, NO ELECTRIC. Generator available                                 for buggy / emergency charging.

Location                 Harrogate Caravan Park, Great Yorkshire Showground, Wetherby Road,  Harrogate, North Yorkshire HG2 8NZ

Start                       Monday 13th November, noon

Finish                     Friday 17th November, noon

Information             A pretty site located on the south side of Harrogate overlooking the beautiful  Crimple valley. Site adjacent to “Fodders” award-winning delicatessen and café    selling the very best of Yorkshire food and drink. A short distance away is the  Travellers Rest pub, where we can get together in the evenings, serving a variety  of locally sourced meals and snacks. Good regular bus service into Harrogate  town centre (10 mins). Hardstanding and Wi-Fi available, price includes  electricity. Modern heated toilets and shower facilities.

Cost                        £17 pupn plus £2 rally fee for up to 2 persons.

Rally Name           THE BRIDGE DINNER / DANCE, WETHERBY (Limited to 25 vans)

Start                       Friday 17th November, noon

Finish                     Monday 20th November, 11 am

Information             Mulled wine and hot chestnuts around a log fire on Friday evening, weather permitting, followed by a get together for drinks in the bar, (optional, at own expense). On Saturday taxis can be arranged to visit Wetherby or Knaresborough, interesting local market towns. On Saturday evening meet in the bar for pre-dinner drinks, then into a private room for a Dinner/Carvery followed by music and dancing. Use of Hotel Spa facilities available at residents’ rates. Good flat area for cycling or walking. No raffle at coffee morning (Bran Tub, gifts with guide price no more than £5, one per van). Hardstanding, own sanitation overnight. Eco friendly toilet fluid please. NO ELECTRIC.

Information             The Market has 200 stalls and is situated in the centre of Birmingham. There is a Bus stop outside the site to take you into city. We will have the use of the Club Bar each evening and bacon baps and tea or coffee will be served on Sunday morning. Hard standing, no electric.

Cost                        £7 pupn plus £2 rally fee for up to 2 persons.

Directions               From north or south exit M6 J4 onto A446 towards Lichfield. At second set of traffic lights turn left onto B4117 and then first left before motorway. Club is on the left. from M42 J9 take A446 towards Coleshill. At second set of traffic lights turn right onto B4117 and then directions as above. Please note that SatNavs work better on street names than on postcodes.

Information             Hard standing. Large garden centre with plants, pet shop, garden furniture & ornaments. Huge selection of unique Christmas decorations and gifts, Father Christmas and his live reindeer, speciality shops and owl sanctuary. Restaurant and toilets open during the day. Bus stop outside serving Spalding / King’s Lynn. Saturday market. Saturday night, Fish & Chip supper (at extra cost). Use of room in Fun Farm with bar every night. No electric.

Cost                       £6.50 pupn plus £2 rally fee for up to 2 persons.

                            See Rally Updates in magazine and on website for menu choices, which                               will need to be given to the stewards as soon as possible, at the very                                   latest one month before the rally.
                            Merley Court is an award-winning site on the edge of the historic and                                 interesting town of Wimborne Minster. Within walking distance of the                                   town for the fit (30 mins, bus part way). Wimborne Market and Antiques                             Centre (with parking – same distance) on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.                                 There is also parking for motorhomes near the town. Buses to Poole /                                 Wimborne nearby (ten minutes’ walk). Site bar expected to be open in                                 the evenings, with clubroom available to all on site. Skittles on Saturday                               night, other activities Thursday and Sunday evenings with Coffee                                         Morning and raffle on Sunday. All pitches will be pre-allocated. Site                                     barrier has automatic number plate recognition. Follow ATOC signs to                                 Stewards’ pitch.

Information          No electric except in hall for buggy charging only. Use of hall and                                       toilets. Hot food will be available on day of arrival and a three-course                                 cold buffet meal will be served on New Year’s Eve. It is hoped that                                       entertainment will be provided, dependent on numbers.

Cost                     £90 for the rally.
