Information            Weymouth Rugby club is situated with easy access to the lovely town of Weymouth, bus stops and supermarkets. The Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival will be held over the weekend of 8th & 9th July and is well worth a visit. We may have use of the clubhouse on some evenings and a BBQ will be organised with the club at extra cost. Social events will be arranged weather permitting. Fresh water and Elsan emptying point only. Toilets and showers may be available at certain times but are not guaranteed (not available in 2016). Buggy charging will be arranged if required. Towed cars must be left in the car park and not by the vans (car park will be locked overnight and can be seen from the motorhomes). NO EARLY ARRIVALS as stewards will be travelling from previous Wareham rally.

Information            Tiverton is a market town that dates back to Saxon times close by the rivers Lowman and Exe. There are showers, toilets, water and an Elsan point and disabled facilities. Tiverton Town is a 10-minute flat walk / amble from the club site, with plenty of pubs and restaurants. A 24-hour Tesco is about 5 minutes away. There is plenty to see and do in and around the area, with bus stops just outside the site. Buses and trains run regularly from the town, or you can take it easy, that’s up to you. We have full use of the clubhouse. We hope to take a horse-drawn barge trip at some point in the week and fish & chips each Friday night. To round off our stay, Tiverton has a street festival with lots of market stalls, Morris dancing and so on - well worth a visit.

Information            Red Lion Farm is owned and run by the Hollingshead family. They have a variety of animals on show. There is a first-class café and shop, which is also open to the general public. The café serves delicious home-made food – cakes and, of course, their home-made ice cream made from the milk from their Jersey cow herd. There are two local pubs within walking distance, pleasant village walking / cycling and buses to Newport, Telford and Stafford. We have arranged a fish and chip supper on the Monday evening at the award-winning pub, The Bell. Please indicate on your rally form if you would like to attend the fish and chip supper. The stewards will be organising a Ploughman’s Supper on Wednesday evening. Weather permitting there will be an organised cycle ride on the Wednesday morning. Toilets and showers on site.

Information            This is a follow-on rally from “The Ice Cream Farm” rally at Haughton. This is a free and easy rally at Stafford Boat Club, which nestles in the Penk valley overlooking the wetlands in a picturesque setting on the Stafford and Worcester canal. The towpath is ideal for walking or cycling. Nearby is Wildwood Park, which is good for dog walking. There is a limited bus service to Cannock and Stafford where there is plenty to see and do. Ralliers may use the clubhouse / bar during the weekend when open for the boaters. Arrangements have been made for us to have a Skittles Evening on Saturday in the clubhouse. Whilst there are no disabled pitches, the venue is suitable for the disabled, with a ramp giving access to the clubhouse. Showers are available on site.

Information            Heckington Village Show is the largest village show in England, taking place over  Saturday and Sunday. This superb show has numerous events taking place and  this year celebrates its 150th anniversary. In recent years, we have seen cycle  races, stunt vehicles, show jumping, tug of war, vintage vehicles, static engines,  shire horse ploughing and shows for a wide variety of animals, flowers, arts and  crafts, cakes, jams and produce. Plenty of stalls selling food, drink and all  manner of things. On the Saturday evening there is a Proms style concert and  fireworks display to which everyone takes their seats, drinks and nibbles.  See  www.heckingtonshow.org.uk, also photos from the 2015 rally on the ATOC  website.
 Weekend tickets (priced £15 in 2016) must be purchased by 5 pm on Friday.  Rally Stewards will have tickets for sale. If you plan to arrive after 5 pm Friday  please indicate this on your rally slip and advise whether you wish to purchase  any weekend tickets. If you do not indicate your preference we will not retain  tickets for you.
 The village of Heckington has shops, pubs and local bus and train services to  Sleaford, Lincoln, Grantham, Nottingham, Boston and Skegness.
 The rally site is at the Heckington Sports & Social Club which is 1/4 mile from  Heckington Village Centre and the showground. The walk into the village and to  the show is along a good level footpath. Note that the showground is on a  grassed field. Mobility scooters are available for hire from the Heckington Show  website but book early as numbers are limited.
 We may have use of the club function room on one night and the Pavilion bar will  be open (reasonable prices). Other clubs / groups will be rallying on Pavilion  Sports Field. This is a free and easy rally with the emphasis on attending the  show. No coffee morning or raffle as the majority of people will be at the show on  Sunday morning. We will have access to toilets and showers. No hardstanding or  electric.

Directions              Take A17 from Sleaford direction and turn off into Heckington village. On entering  Heckington continue into the centre of the village. Information            The Lawns is an ideal place to relax and enjoy the countryside. A tranquil and well maintained site with five excellent rally fields. It is well laid out with ample space and water points. Each rally field is bordered by trees and shrubs. The site has a fishing lake for campers’ use only (small charge), well stocked with carp and other similar types of fish. Site amenities include CDP, Electric Hook up (if required, £3.50 per night) and a small toilet and shower facility.
The site is a short walk to a couple of local tearooms, pub restaurant, garden centres and the village shop selling newspapers and basic commodities. There is a bus stop within easy reach for services to either King’s Lynn or Spalding and the Springfield Shopping Outlet. Refreshments will be arranged, also there will be an evening roast meal (at extra cost) held on site.

Information           Hoveton is adjacent to Wroxham, the heart of the Norfolk Broads. Easy access by bus or train to Norwich or Great Yarmouth and surrounding areas by bus or car. Wroxham has several shops including a large supermarket. River trips to various Broads and the Bure Valley narrow gauge railway to Aylsham are also available.

During the rally there will be an opportunity to ‘Boogie on the Broads’ to Sixties music – a 3-hour evening cruise on a double decker passenger boat. Advance booking is required so, if interested, please send a cheque for £15 per person with your rally slip, payable to V Summers.

Information             Situated at Weybourne on the Norfolk coast, this site holds the largest private collection of military equipment in the country. If you are interested you can have a ride in some of these vehicles and possibly drive a tank. This is also Cromer Carnival week, with Wednesday being the main Carnival day. All day arena shows take place with a display by the Red Arrows and, of course, evening shows. Also nearby are the Norfolk Steam Railway and Shire Horse Centre. Open top bus from site to Sheringham and Cromer. Normal bus stop outside rally field. Please NO ARRIVALS on Wednesday.

Information             Stakesby Primary School is situated in a residential area and is close to the town with buses to Whitby Bus Station stopping nearby. In town there are also bus and train connections to Robin Hood’s Bay, Scarborough and on to the North York Moors Steam Railway. Supermarkets, including Lidl, Spar, Sainsbury’s and Co-op, are nearby. You can explore the famous Whitby Abbey, which provided the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula, buy some Whitby jet or just enjoy the atmosphere around the harbour. This will be a free-and-easy rally but we will have use of the School Hall for social gatherings or in case of poor weather. Fresh water, grey waste and chemical waste disposal available but NO ELECTRIC.

Information            This will be a free and easy rally, between the Western Motorhome Show and Woodstock Rally, on the banks of River Avon at the Marina. This is a well-maintained level grass site with EHU for 30 vans. Fresh water and toilet emptying only, mud mats and breathable groundsheets required. Bus stop in the village (15 mins). No shops in village but two pubs that serve meals. Riverside walk to Pershore (30 mins), where there is a small range of independent shops, an Asda, pubs and cafés.

Information             The school is situated 15 minutes’ walk on flat tarmac footpath to the town of Woodstock where there are many pubs, restaurants, some shops, museums, the entrance to Blenheim Palace and the bus stops. Buses run every 15 or 20 minutes to Oxford and other buses go to Chipping Norton, Witney and Burford. There is a public heated open-air pool next to the school. We will have use of a room and toilets in the school. There will be Free Live Music in the town square on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings and a Classic Car Show in Blenheim Park on Sunday and Monday. We will try to arrange a meal on Saturday night. The grounds, lakes and gardens of Blenheim are fantastic and we can arrange guided walks around the park, which can range from 1 to 7 miles, all on tarmac paths. You can visit Winston Churchill’s grave by walking across the park or a few minutes’ bus ride.

Directions               DO NOT try to turn down Shipton Road from the centre of Woodstock, it is very narrow and has a lot of speed humps.

                               From South or A34, half a mile before Woodstock at Bladon Roundabout turn right on A4095 signed to Bicester and Kirtlington. After 0.5 miles turn left into Shipton Road, school is half mile on right.
From North on A44 from Chipping Norton drive straight through Woodstock to the Bladon Roundabout then follow above. From West at Bladon Roundabout go straight over and follow above.
From Banbury on A4260 turn right onto A4095 signposted Witney and Woodstock and after 1 mile turn right into Shipton Lane.

Information             This club has been used in the past for ATOC rallies and provides a very attractive venue (see website www.rollsleisurebarnoldswick.co.uk). It has a restaurant (open to the public) serving meals in the evening and Sunday lunches, a bar (open to the public) providing snacks and there are various activities and entertainment. Bus stops are near to the site with buses going to surrounding areas including Skipton, which has a market and a wide selection of retail outlets. There is a Co-op in Barnoldswick, a Morrisons supermarket in Skipton and an ASDA in Colne.
All pitches are HARDSTANDING and there is NO ELECTRIC. Site area is restricted so pitching for individual units will be determined by stewards.

Information             We will be sited on hard ground alongside Llangollen canal, a 15-minute walk from the town centre. Llangollen is a picturesque town close to the river Dee, with many shops, eating places and places of interest to visit. Ride on horse-drawn barges or ride over the aqueduct on a boat trip (or hire your own boat as a group). The aqueduct is 30 metres above the river Dee. Take a trip on the steam railway train, visit Castle Dinas Bran, plus Nerwdd House and grounds, Horse Shoe Pass and Chirk Castle. Bus from town to Wrexham and Chester. Public toilets close by. On site we also have use of a room for our gatherings with a cheese and wine night, American supper and quiz night included. EHU included, please bring a long extension lead if you have one. There are lovely walks around this site.

Directions             From the North A483 to Ruabon then A539 to Llangollen. From the South A5 to Llangollen over bridge up Abbey road. Site on right. Look for pavilion dome and site entrance through car park.

Location                 Blackpool Rugby Club, Fleetwood Road, Blackpool

Information            The Rugby Club is situated at the North Shore end of Blackpool. It is close to the tramway that runs along the full length of the promenade. The famous (free) Illuminations are well worth a visit. The switch-on is scheduled for 1st September 2017 (subject to confirmation). The equally famous Blackpool Tower (entrance at extra cost), opened in 1894, now boasts a Harry Ramsden’s Fish & Chip restaurant on the 5th floor. In the Ballroom you can dance the day away to the sounds of the mighty Wurlitzer organ or simply sit and watch others trip the light fantastic in the sumptuous surroundings OR you might DARE to visit the Tower Eye and experience the thrilling SKY WALK glass viewing platform, giving wonderful views of Blackpool and over the North West of England! This will be a free-and-easy rally but the club bar will be available for social gatherings in the daytime or evenings. Fresh water, grey waste and chemical waste disposal available but NO ELECTRIC.

Exit M55 J3. Take 3rd exit onto A585 towards Poulton Le Fylde. After approx. 3.5 miles turn L, staying on the A585 heading towards Fleetwood. At 2nd rbt take 2nd exit onto Norcross Lane. At rbt turn R towards Bispham onto Warren Drive. At next rbt take 1st exit onto B5258 then straight over 2 mini rbts. At crossroads turn L onto Fleetwood Rd. The road to the RUFC is on LH side after about a quarter of a mile. Look out for signs for RUFC and Tee Time Golf.

Also included in the price will be a steam trip on Ullswater, a gondola trip up on Ben Nevis, a coach trip to see the south of Skye and a barge trip on the Falkirk Wheel.

All these sites have been personally inspected by Barb and Tony. All 13 sites include EHU except Falkirk. You will have plenty of time to explore the area as you travel from site to site. It is planned for us to have 3 ‘together’ meals during the rally (additional cost).

Information             Bay View Park is located on the coast road between Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne in East Sussex, situated just yards from the beach and has full facilities. The village of Pevensey is within walking distance with good pubs, restaurants, cafés and shops. Sovereign Harbour is also in walking distance with shops restaurants and multiplex cinema. Buses run frequently to Eastbourne and Hastings on the A259. There is a cycle path to Pevensey Bay and Eastbourne. Stewards to arrange two events over the week. There is a Golf Course with a licenced bar open to the public.

Rally Name           BREAN SANDS HOE DOWN

Location                Warren Farm Holiday Centre, Brean, Burnham on Sea, Somerset TA8 2RP

Information            Warren Farm is a site with all the facilities, hot showers, laundry room and a well-stocked shop. Entertainment every evening at the Beachcombers Club and Restaurant. Food is served every day from 12 noon until late evening. Warren Farm also boasts a large well-stocked fishing lake. Bus stops are nearby with buses to Bristol, Burnham-on-Sea or Weston-super-Mare. The rally coincides with Brean’s annual Country & Western Festival, one of the largest in the country. There will be lots to see in and around Brean both day and night. A free and easy rally is the order of the week. However, we hope you will get into the spirit of the week by bringing your ‘yee har’ clothes or better still why not dress as an Indian? A prize will be given for the best dressed Indian. Please join us on Saturday for Buffalo Wings and Hot Dogs before dancing the night away at the Beachcombers Night Club.

Location                Horam Manor Touring Park, Horam, Heathfield, East Sussex TN21 0YD

Information            Horam Manor Park is situated in an area of outstanding beauty, south of Heathfield in rural East Sussex. This is an ideal location for exploring East Sussex and Kent and the South Downs National Park. Within travelling distance to Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne, the village of Horam is a few hundred metres away from the site. The site has full facilities, fishing lakes and a fully licensed café and a small farm museum. There are nature trails through the woodland on the estate. Within a short walk is Horam Golf Club with a challenging nine-hole course. There are bus stops within 100 metres of the site entrance.
